I do tune and i do listen and i do post on the cluster when i feel
like it, this was addressed to cluster users as i know they are not
every ones cup of tea . There is no replacement for finding and chasing
your own dx ;-)
Is that similar to going fishing and refusing to use the fishfinder??
A true fisherman, applying your definition, goes to an unknown pond,
throws in a line and hook, and hopes, hopes, hopes, and then creates
stories about the one that got away.
Me, I'll use a fish finder, a thermometer, correct tackle, correct bait;
and, I'll catch fish. I'll use a cluster, packet, phone call from a
friend, s--t luck, DX-net, or watch for pileups on my 756 Pro III; and,
I'll catch DX.
If you want to be old fashioned, use a BC-610 and a pre war HRO. You
will work ATVs within 1/2 mile :-)
