CB radio amplifiers for sale CHEAP!

Actually it was 1957 when they took the 11 meter band from the HAMS and created the "Class-D" Citizens radio service....The callsigns were 11W1234 series of calls. If this guy wanted to market these amplifiers and not attract the wrong attention all he would have to say is they are for amateur use only, with broadband coverage from 28 to 30Mhz.HAM gear does NOT require ANY "type acceptance" at all.. You'd better look at the US regulations. As I said, the existence of amplifiers for CB (but usually marketed as something else) caused the FCC to bring in regulations in the late seventies about amplifiers. It had always been illegal to use such amplifiers on CB, but the new rules meant it was illegal to sell them. The laws had nothing to do with amateur radio, but it did impact on amateur radio. Those rules about amplifiers in that range are quite restrictive compared to the general rules of amateur radio, and they exist because another service was operating illegally. Michael VE2BVW |
