Default Ts 820s and VFO

I fell victim to ebay. I bought a ts-820s with VFO. I just received it and
the VFO/remote connector is mangled on the rig. No jumper was included. Are
these connectors easy to find or am I SOL. Also, can I start it up without the
mic? I need to purchase one of those as well.

What is mangled ??? -- the jack on the rig or the plug on a cable.

By jumper -- guess you mean CABLE that goes between the VFO and the TS-820S,

The jack on the rig is all pushed in and, well, mangled. I wish I could
publish a picture but no access. Actually, in the manual it shows a jumper
plug for the jack if there is nothing being used there i.e. vfo, amp, etc.
Thanks for the suggestion. Does Kenwood still service these? If so, there is
a service station right by the house. Even better, I will call them. Thank s
again.

hi,

sent you email direct but here is info too

http://www.kenwoodparts.com for the vfo plug e05-0901-05

socket is common 9 pin tube type any hamfest.

just jumper pins 8+9 and that passes the vfo signal back to the rig
