Default Icom IC-T81 - No operation on Battery?

Hi Tom:

I've uploaded a picture of the unknown part. Go to:

http://www.sentex.ca/tedds_place/t81-power.jpg

Near the bottom of the picture, there are 3 silver domes. This
is where the power connectors for the battery contacts get soldered
to the board. The left most one is the negative terminal. The little
white arrow below this terminal just happens to point to the part
in question.

: I'm not sure if the T81 and the T8 are the same in that respect.
: If you want email me and I can tell you the Part number. Its a good
: thing Icom makes a usually reliable radio because their customer
: service sucks. I ordered the parts over a month ago now still
: nothing!! I wish I knew the value I'd try to find a nother source.

I've been down that road before Tom. It's hard to believe, but since
Kenwood has gone to a national distributor for parts (Global
Electronics),
the parts availability has been the best of the "big 3". I've always
had a problem
with both Yaesu and Icom.

Let me know if your radio is simular.
