My wife recently passed here Tech. license and would like to have a dual
band 2mtr/440 rig in her car. Her requirements: "Will go up to 50/60
watts - Simple to operate (just turn it on, turn to (or push buttons on
mic) for the desired frequency/band, and talk..." She does want the DTMF
mic.

Can't get much simpler than that. She doesn't want to pick up the Hong
Kong police freqs or listen to aircraft landing... ) The simpler the
better.

Any recommendations?
