You're in the wrong newsgroup, just like the posts about CW.

There is rec.radio.amateur.policy and rec.radio.amateur.misc to
ask in, and of course now there's yet a third newsgroup for this
stort of thing, rec.radio.amateur.misc

For most people, one newsgroup would be enough, but instead we
have not two but three.

ANd that's still not good enough, people have to come to the
"riff-raff" newsgroups to ask questions that belong in one
of those three newsgroups. Yet the rest of the hierarchy would
be in fine shape if they could just keep their junk contained in
those two or three newsgroups.

Thanks for the lecture, but no help on my question

As for "Yet the rest of the hierarchy would

YEAH BUT THEY DON"T

I am neither for or against a moderated NG, just wanted to know if it is up
and running? Thought I'd take a look and see what's there.

Have you refreshed your list of newsgroups from your news provider?
Depending on how your news reader works and how your news provider
handles things, you might have to download their complete list of
newsgroups. If it's still not there, you'll have to complain to your
news provider and tell them to add the newsgroup.

Anyone using it ?

Yes; there's currently traffic in the group.
