6M/2M/70CM FM Rig
Rigs like the Icom IC-706 and IC-7000 come to mind. These give you those bands as well as HF. The advantage to radios like this is that you can operate SSB on 6-meters. I think you would be much better of with SSB than FM if you are interested in DX. The Yaesu FT-817 comes to mind, too, if you can get by with only 5 watts. Ed |
