I use mine portable and found that it works well feeding a vertical with radials elevated rather than just a rod stuck in the ground. I am assuming that you are using the control cable that comes with the AH4. I have had difficulty with my 706MII and the tuner when I did not push the control cable plug all the way into the radio. It seemed like it was in, but it needed another push to seat the connectors. Tom KD6EVM  |
