Default Good HF scanning receiver w/SSB

Good afternoon...

Any thoughts on a good scanning receiver that covers HF from 2 MHz up, and
can be used in SSB and FM modes?

I'd need something with sensitivity and selectivity that's comparable to a
decent low-end HF transceiver (e.g. IC-718 or FT-817).

If it had the capability to program its memories via a computer, that
would be a nice bonus.

If it had the capability to output its frequency via e.g. RS-232 every
time it scans to a new frequency, that would be a REALLY nice bonus (but
not expected).

I'm aware of the Icom IC-R75 and IC-R2500, and Yaesu FRG-100B and VR-5000,
but wondered if there is anything else out there (perhaps for slightly
fewer bucks...)

Thanks...
