Default YAESU FT-1000MP HELP

I've had an MP for 4-5 years. Works great. I have installed the INRAD
mod plus a few INRAD filters. Otherwise the radio is stock. However,
on 15M the receiver does not seem as hot as on other bands. If 15M is
open, I can hear plenty of signals (and they will go to S9 or better),
but on a dead band there is just not that much background noise.
Jumping to any other band (which may or may not be open) the
background noise level is higher. I have noticed this on certain
out-of-band segments when SWL to foreign broadcast, utilities, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this? Quirk of the MP? Full receiver
alignment? 15M segment alignment? Forget about it?

Thanks and 73
Dan
