Why would anybody put a D104 on an amateur radio?

If it were able to be used as intended, it would allow me to talk without having to be 2 inches from the mic, as is required with my Heil HM-10. Besides, it's a neat microphone, but it's just collecting dust sitting on my shelf. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 73! de Andy KC2SSB Beachwood, NJ USA! Grid FM29vw http://vhfradiobuff.tripod.com |

Well -- probably tens of thousands of Hams did well before CB and a lot still do. The mic has a rising response at the higher audio end for increased intelligibility.
