Control it with "PC Anywhere" or "VNC". I shipped the audio back over a
service channel on the T-1 shelf..but you could do it with "SpeakEasy". It
worked very well as the scanner was set up at our FM transmitter site on a
discone antenna. The hilltop is 2800 ft and overlooks the Los ANgeles area.
The 5KW signal on the FM band didnt really bother the PCR-100 for the most
part. We are the ONLY ones on the hilltop and theres no commercial or paging
transmitters there. The only amatuer stuff up there is my remote
base...Eddie

I have had one for years..along with the PCR-1000... The PCR-100 was

located
on a hilltop, remote controlled with it's audio sent back to the

studio..
It works pretty well, not the best radio..but certainly worth the money.

The
PCR-1000 is a VERY nice RCVR..with SSB capabilities....both are
"keepers"....Eddie

I have a similar potential application. How far away was the hilltop, and
how did you perform the control and getting the audio back?
