Charger for Alinco EBP-10N (for DJ-560)?

Greetings,

I recently got back an Alinco DJ-560T that I had loaned out and it's
missing the EDC-21 charger. Do I need to get this exact charger or can
I use any 9V DC adapter to charge the battery pack?

Can you charge the battery with the EDC-13 Cigarette lighter adapter
or can this only be used to operate the radio?
