Anyone have one of these? Ive just bought one with no manual. What aux antenna
should I be using and where should the aux antenna be located in relation to my
main antenna.

Secondly, what is the procedure for tuning the gain,phase1 and phase2 controls.

Try to get teh AUX antenna as far away from your main antenna as
possible: I use a 12.5m wire fed via a 9:1 Un-Un in my attic.

I'd suggest setting the gain to about 3/4 open, then I'm afraid it's a
question of fiddling with the controls ONE AT A TIME until you
minimise the interference. Tuning can be quite sharp!

And just in case you kill it by applying HF at the wrong moment: the
FETs are J310s...

One more question, if I may?
To transmit, do I need to feed 12v to the remote socket to switch it out? Im
presuming the unit is not RF sensing.

Hi John,

If yours is like mine, you'll find two RCA sockets on the back of the
gadget. One is for 12v power, the other is connected to your rig's PTT
so that the power to the amplifier stage is cut off when transmitting
- that's how I found out that the FETs are J310s :-( Looking at it
from the rear the socket on the left is connected to PTT, the one
closest to the PL259s is 12V power.
