I have about 6 old 23 channel parts sets here, including an EF Johnson 323
What were those frequency's again, I can get my reader to go back. -Joe "Scott Dorsey" wrote in message ... Gary Schafer wrote: Sorry to report that I can't find them! I thought I had several small drawers with CB crystals of various frequencies. They may be around here somewhere. I spent about an hour looking for them but no luck. Try your local CB shop and see... there are a lot of them out there. Ask around at a nearby truckstop and they'll tell you who does that stuff. Most of those guys probably have an old 23 channel solid state rig in the parts bin somewhere that they'll give you to cannibalize for crystals. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. Hi Guys,
I would be very surprised if you could find the crystals I need in anything other than the Hammarlund CB-23 (or the identical Lafayette model that Hammarlund made for them). The CB-23 used a rather unique scheme of crystal mixing that I've never seen in any other radio (and I've been tinkering with CB gear since 1971). The frequencies I need a Y106 = 25.335 MHz Y109 = 25.375 MHz Y110 = 25.385 MHz I'm assuming that they are 3rd overtone crystals, since most crystals above 20 MHz are. The holder type is HC-18/U (the small holder with solder leads as opposed to pins). Thanks and 73, Dean K5DH In article , says...
