I was able to spend just a short time at Dayton; however, in terms of
equipment the only real news I noticed was Yaesu's introduction of the FTDX-9000 to compete with Icom's IC-7800. The '9000 will apparently come in 150W and 400W 'flavors' with list prices in the $11,000-$13,000 (US) range. Icom had several '7800s on display complete with a plasma screen simulcasting the '7800's display. I didn't notice much else in terms of new gear. I also hadn't planned any major purchases so I didn't check any rig prices. My big find was 12-packs of 2500 mAh AA cells for $20! "R. David Steele" /OMEGA wrote in message ... I did not get to go, again, this year. What was the big and exciting news from Dayton? |
