Default rf meter

Been trying to find the cause of excessive rf but lost on a good meter
to use. A friend has so much rf on his ht on one freq that he is unable
to transmit or rec on that freq..Ht picks it up in all rooms and
outside, brought my ht over and the same result.

Would like a good meter anyway and this makes for a great opportunity to
do so.. So any ideas on a good meter to find the source of these
problems?

Jim

hi I had loads of interference giving s9 reading on 40 meters, so I powered
radio of battery and switched off house mains power and it stopped
so then I switched of appliances and then I found it, it was a switch mode
power supply for the computer video capture that failed
