What makes you think he reads any of these replies?

I would think it a reasonable compromise that auction postings be done
in a consistent way, so that others can choose to read, or choose not
to read them, using automated filters.

If that doesn't work, the newsgroup policy might have to be changed to
ban them completely. While the newsgroup might accept an occasional
For Sale or For Auction posting from a private individual, the
quantity from this poster would suggest a business enterprise.

Fine.

This is not a buy and sell newsgroup, and it's never been one.
It's intended for discussion of amateur radio equipment.

ONce again, the issue isn't auction ads, the issue is that people
post ads here. Once Joe Blow decides to sell his rig here, and
that happened a long time ago, then it gives permission to the idiots
who post multiple ads to sell multiple things here. But note that it's
only a matter of quantity, the individual selling things is just as
off-topic here as the commercial posters.

This is a goog example of an ebay jerk. All he does is use newsgroups to
spam his lame auctions.
The fact that he keeps changing the hearder to avoid spam filters should
be reported to his ISP.

I have asked many questions here on different radios on this newsgroup
over the years. Even some "HELP" questions, one about a week ago. I only
received ONE answer in all that time!
