Just over a year ago, during an event our club provides communications
for, my Radio Shack HTX-202 ht started intermittently transmitting at low power even when set to "high". Since then it has gone to low power all the time. This happens using battery or external power with the whip or external antenna. The Google search revealed KB8ZCJ's fix for his problem but I don't want to solder unnecessarily and am not convinced that mine has the same malfunction as his did. http://www.phreak.org/radio/mods/htx202fx.txt The LCD's on mine light up as low power. And the http://www.mods.dk/view.php?ArticleId=2721 page told how to, apparently, make the radio permanantly either high or low power. Any recommendations on a switch replacement or a repair facility? Thank you for your efforts. Remove nospam for email reply. Monte B. Carroll WC4MBC Nashville, Tennessee USA |
