Default radio astronomy

Hi, I'm part of an amateur radio astronomy group trying to get a dish on
top of a roof to work. We have much of the equipment, but are having
trouble putting it together, as far as how exactly to hook everything
up. Would this be the right newsgroup to post to? Thanks.

I'd suggest you also do an Internet search for info on that subject. I
intend to go off and do that too.

Even a very cursiry look on Google for "Radio Astronomy" led me to this page:

Ther are a lot of interesting links there to other Amateur Radio Astronomy
sites. You will probably find plenty ot keep you busy there

But if you're talking about just the antennas, then
rec.radio.amateur.antenna might be the most useful place. If you've got
hardware matters (as in electronic hardware related to radio),
rec.radio.amateur.homebrew might be a better place.
rec.radio.amateur.space might be of some use, though much of it
is about satellite work. If moonbounce is discussed there, some of
the discussion might be appropriate.
