Hi all, Ive been working on an old Heathkit SB100 that I am attempting to
return to service(not to be pretty, just to be pretty functional).Got
almost all of the kinks worked out(there werent that many.. just a few bad
resistors), and still dont have any ALC indication on transmit. On the RF
Modulator board there are a couple of 1n4005(500V, 750MA) diodes(Heath
part#57-27) that are in the ALC circuit that I am going to probably pull
and test(can I test without discharging the caps or...

Hi.



The radio club at my local MakerSpace has a donated TS-570D. It was
working fine when we first started using it.



Last fall, it would sometimes "lose its tune" (SWR would suddenly jump) in
mid-transmit, and in one case the unit spontaneously powered down. In
fact, that was the last time it was used, around last November or so.



We recently moved the entire rig, and I am in the process of getting the
