It will most likely depend on what you want to use the radio for, mobile, or
desk (with a little portability)
The TS-570 will take up a good amount of room within your vehicle. In most
cases it is not suitable for most of today's vehicles. I have a TS-450, and
it does not fit very well in my Toyota Landcruiser, and it's got some spare.
The TS-480 however will fit nicely. It also has a remote face (standard),
which allows you to fit the main unit else where in the vehicle. In my view
a much better radio for mobile use. I am running one for this main purpose.

They each have there own positives and negatives, it will all depend on your
end use. Over all they both will do what any ham will want to do, talk
around the world.
Power, and features are about the same.

I would suggest that you go to www.kenwood.net and download the manuals for
both, and compare.

Best of luck.

Kevin, ZL1KFM.
