Default Spread Spectrum anyone?

I recently became interested in Spread Spectrum but have found any equipment
for it. Did I look in all the wrong places or is this mode mostly
experimental, for ham operators I mean. I know it is being used now in
wireless equipment.

there are folks using it in theham bands at vhf and UHF only I think
(last I heard) meaning youd have to be near someone else into using it

I know of no off the shelf stuff for it (unless maybe the icom digital
stuff counts)
