Bzzzzt, Wrong answer, would you like to try again for what is behind
Door No.2?

Your confusing "Type Approval", "Type Acceptance" and Part 15 Spec's.

There is a very LARGE difference between, each of the above, and if you
don't know the difference, then you shouldn't be commenting on it.....

Me one who knows.....

Type Approval is only required for external, commercially manufactured
amplifiers capable of operation below 144 Mhz. As others have
correctly pointed out, a transceiver only has to meet Part 15 (and the
emission standards of [97.317].

And I was told Monday by an HRO manager that the price will be $1,500.

Hmm, it is $1499.99 at the AES web site. If it were a penny more, it
would qualify for their free shipping.

Well, order a PL-259 or a Repeater Guide or whatever when you order.
Or you could just order it for the same price at HRO with free
shipping over $100. I buy from both companies, but if I am doing mail
order, I go with HRO.
