Default FT-857D Remote Mounting

Hello All,
I recently purchased a FT-857D to replace my ailing FT-100D. It seems
to be a great little transciever for the price. I had also purchased
the remote mounting kit for my vehicle installation.
I was a bit disappointed to see that you don't really get a "Full"
mounting kit for the price. Like the FT-100/D, you need to purchase the
Yaesu MMB-62 in addition to make it usable in multiple mounting
enviroments. What's even better is that there isn't any reference of
needing this mounting platform anywhere!
Looks like Yaesu over looked this one so beware. The mounts seemed to
be still available from many of the radio vendors.

Michael
