Icom 703 question

I recently purchased a used 703+. I have a question about the ALC. ON 6
meters I have no ALC indication or adjustment on SSB. The radio xmits full
power and sounds fine.
Is this normal?
The ALC is adjustable and works fine on HF SSB.
