Yaesu FT897D Problems

Hi there new to amateur just setting up and I have a problem with my Yaesu FT897D rig if I select a frequency say 7100 and then key the mike another frequency comes up have I pressed something to do with the dual vfo or is it something else that Ive pressed and how do I go about undoing it 73s Stephen.
