In case you ain't been following it, short-wave
radio preaching kook James Lloyd (..now a contender
for Valedictorian 2003 of the Brother Stair School
of prophetic analysis) has been saying for the past few
weeks that the World ends tomorrow. (July 5th)


Actually, I think he's claiming the "beginning of the end." There
should have been some calamity yesterday (the 4th) inaugurating the
Tribulation.

As a New Yorker, I'm particularly thankful to see that he's gotten it
wrong. He was saying a few weeks ago that my city was history. And I
had just finished cleaning all the windows in my apt.

I suppose I should let a few more days go by before I bother cleaning
the stove and fridge.
