Yes indeed it is, but if the person in question is impersonating one of the regulars here and you block sender them you're really not blocking the offending party. It's best to get a newsreader that allows you to block domains and then setting it up to block anything from alt.net, dizum.com and the Frog remailer as these are the places the majority of the spam/floods/trolling comes from. Exactly. Impersonation is exactly the tactic of many in these newsgroups. A person disagrees with something a person says and then begins flooding the newsgroup with messages appearing to come from the person he disagrees with. Of course, everyone gets angry at the person the messages appear to be coming from, not the person actually sending the messages. People then use filters to block the person the messages appear to be coming from, preventing his participation in this newsgroup (which thrills the person actually sending the messages).
