Trac Keyer
I am having some trouble with this keyer locking up my Kenwood TS50S on
transmit when using 40 meter cw. Works ok on all other bands. Have tried my other antennas and tuners==same thing. Tried dropping voltage from power supply down to 12 volts. This caused radio to drop out and go to the hello screen briefly. If anyone has a schematic/manual for this old outfit, please drop me a line with ideas or a copy. It is a TRAC cmos electronic keyer model TE122. It probably needs an output voltage tweak to be compatible with the ts50. Would like to have a better idea of what to look for before I go digging around inside it. Thanks! Bill, N0RRY |

Don't know if it's the same Trac keyer I had, or the same problem, but
the one I had didn't work with my TS-450sat until I REVERSED the keying leads from the keyer to the 450. |

Bill, N0RRY Are you saying it does this 'only' on 40 meters. If that is what I read then you are likely a victim of RFI. Bypass the leads in/out of keyer with beads, or caps. Dan/W4NTI |
