Default Americorps+Ham radio+homeland security

I had this idea that I can't follow up on myself, but maybe someone
else can. Americoprs has been authorized to fund homeland security
projects. It might be possible for someone to write an
Americorps grant that would enable funding for teaching ham classes to
kids asz part of homeland security. It should be something that could
play into the Amateur Radio responsibility for producing a group of
highly trained personnel for emergencies. Amateur radio clubs could be
a great volunteer partner in such a project. My boss is working on a
different Americoprs project, so I can't do it myself. It is just an
idea if someone wants to run with it.
