why no Mexican stations during feild day
Does anybody know why there weren't any Mexican station on at feild day.
I have heard lots of Canadian stations, but none from Mexico. It would be nice if our friends from south of Border would participate. IMHO Chip kf4wbk |

What might be funny is our recip agreement.
If I understand it we have such an agreement see URL: http://www.arrl.org/FandES/field/reg.../io/recip.html But folks tell me you best buy a permit -- see URL: http://www.geocities.com/wd9ewk/xe-permit.html But XE's operate here with no problem Go figure -- Lamont Cranston The Shadow Knows --------------------------------------- "Ralph Blach" wrote in message ... wrote: "Dan/W4NTI" w4nti@get rid of this mindspring.com wrote in message hlink.net... Apparently, you are unaware of the high level of poverty that exists in the country to our south. The sad thing is that such a statement is probably more true than it was humorous. I don't have any recent statistics but in the mid 1990's, it took only about $800/year [per person] for an average Mexican to cover all their living expenses in rural Mexico. With a family size of 6, due to sharing of housing and utilities (where available), that cost dropped to about $600/person. |
