NMO vs. UHF
Putting a 2m/70cm antenna system in truck. NMO or UHF antenna mount?
Does NMO seal out weather better than UHF? Your thoughts appreciated on this topic. Thank you, Dale |
NMO reduces loss in the upper frequencies better than
UHF or other typical connections. Patrick W4PHM -- Patrick H. Mason M.S. OHST, EMT-I "carniolan" wrote in message oups.com... Putting a 2m/70cm antenna system in truck. NMO or UHF antenna mount? Does NMO seal out weather better than UHF? Your thoughts appreciated on this topic. Thank you, Dale |

With dual band 2m/70cm, 2m quarter waves and 5/8 wave. Never had a leak and two of them were in the middle of the roof and neither leaked over the more than 8 years I had the cars. Dave |
