The standard advise from K0OV is to NOT ground the unused antennas, but to
leave them open which is in a non resonant state. This is so they have
minimal effect on the active antenna and thus do not act like a parasitic
element. I'm not sure why, but he recommends having NO amplitude (pattern)
effects in your system.
