Hello All,
I was wondering what are the differences between a preamp, RF amp and
an LNA.

I was thinking they are all one and the same. Are there any subtle
differences among them for these names?

Thanks.

AFIK a Preamp is used when referring to HF and VHF communciation
receivers. An RF Amp refers to the final stage of a transmitter and an
LNA is generally used when referring to Microwave or sattelite
receiver. I note that the preamp/frontend of the R2 is referred to as
an LNA.
