Default MC1350 - Low noise replacement?

On Mar 25, 8:13 am, Emil wrote:
Hello,

I'm looking for an IF amp (w/agc and 50db max gain is ample) to use as a
replacement for an MC1350. Main reason is noise reduction. Doesn't
necessarily need be in 8-pin dip package, however, not enough room for an
entirely built-up amp.

Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Emil

Analog Devices has the AD603 et al. From the AD603 datasheet:

"The AD603 is a low noise, voltage-controlled amplifier for use in RF
and IF AGC systems. It provides accurate, pin-selectable gains of -11
dB to +31 dB with a bandwidth of 90 MHz or +9 dB to 51+ dB with a
bandwidth of 9 MHz."
