Ahh, so its a transistor
Do you have a schematic? Is there another transistor with the same markings? A lot of times transistors are pretty generic and you can throw in "any old thing". If that is the case, you should be able to tell from the schematic. If not, and you have another, perhaps someone has a semiconductor analyzer and can measure the parameters of a good one, and then you can figure a replacement based on the parameters. Of course, you would hope that Kenwood would be anxious to help ... "confused" wrote in message ... Joe LeKostaj;644551 Wrote: Is it a plastic bodied component? Does it have one terminal at each end? If yes, I'm guessing it's a diode. -Joe In article , confused wrote: - anyone seen a surface mount part only markings on it are d k 9 z.it's on a kenwood handheld tranceiver of mine which has burnt out.would appreciate any info? many thanks- hi joe thanks for your response.it has 3 pins on one side and on thicker pin like a small heatsink looks like this http://tinyurl.com/5ltz2j i'd appreciate any help on where to get another or an equivalant.i've looked through shed loads of smt code books online cant find same code.i've tried contacting kenwood???? thankyou -- confused |
