Hi Guys The 144 MHz receive rf amp transistor had a mod which replaced the original with a bf982.This transistor has been discontinued and i was wondering if there was a more modern equivalent with a lower noise level. The BF982 is an N channel dual gate 20v 40ma to 200 MHz.Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Steve VK4ADA I took a quick look for crosses. The combination of 20V 40mA 1.2 dB noise is quite difficult to match. There are lower noise UHF devices but they tend to have 20V or 40ma max ratings. Perhaps you should just do the search for a BF982 supplier. They can be had, though you might pay couple or three bucks for one. Brian W |
