Default Moderated / Unmoderated ?

Fellow amateur radio operators: Over the past 14-yrs I have been
jackbooted numerous times off of amateur radio discussion groups because I
critiqued somewhat less than technically correct statements by a male
friend of the moderator/censor. The first moderated discussion group I
ever joined was AMPS - back in 1996. Within 3-hours I received a
telephone call from the moderator warning me that I would not be allowed
to critique statements from W8JI. When I asked if this rule applied to
sttements that were technically specious, I was told to go easy. Within a
few weeks I had been jackbooted off of AMPS. Thanks to complaints from
technically enlighted members of AMPS, I eventually got reinstated but I
was eventually jackbooted again for the same reason when we got a new
moderator/censor. This happened several times.
I can not understand why any sane amateur radio operator would want to
participate in a discussion group where specious statements from
boyfriends of the censor/modertor are shielded.

• I'm pretty sure your assumption is spot-on Mr. ______? My problem is
that I can not keep quiet when a technical conclusion isn't right.

..snip.. are you comfortable with the statement: that dipmeters are
useless because they simultaneously couple to everything within several
feet? or how anout: resistance wire has reverse RF skin-effect at HF?

Dip meters do couple to conductors in the near field.
Current density of resistive wire does increease with depth. Call that
reverse skin effect if you like?
