The callsign area is where the radio amateur sat his/her first test or where a non-US citizen has his/her first postal address. When the operator moves to another State the callsign is NOT changed . I sat my US licences tests in London and Northampton - England and trust I am not considered ¨Too stoopid¨ 73 Frank , GM0CSZ / KN6WH current US postal address in Colorado which is a W0 area |

If you moved to another district, you got a different call sign. And in any case, it's very easy to look up my current address.
