Default Homebrew in Mpls/St Paul

I am JUST starting to get interested in homebrewing things, and I don't
know where to start! I have reasonable good solder skills, etc, have
done some minor projects, rig interface kit, electronic kits in HS, some
cables etc... But I'd like to do more, like build a regenerative,
eventually a little transceiver, all the while learning what to do with
tubes, transistors and all the rest.

What I'd like to find is an Elmer in the Mpls area who would be willing
to show me some of the stuff they've built, let me know where they
procure their parts, maybe let me raid their junk box every once in a
while.

Feel free to reply off the list, or on if you have information about the
homebrew scene in Mpls/St Paul of interest to everyone else.
