In article ,
says... Can anyone reccomend a good small surface mount FM receiver chip that is currently availible? Is it possible to do FM reception with a Direct conversion RX and some simple DSP? Paul (Kl7JG) I really like the Philips SA604AD (http://www- us.semiconductors.philips.com/pip/SA604AD.html). It's easy to use, it's got plenty of internal gain, and it works well at a variety of IFs, from 455 kHz to 10.7 or 21.4 MHz. I've built several decent-performing receiver sections for NBFM audio, NBFM FSK data, and WBFM (broadcast) audio with the SA604 and various filters available from Digi-Key. Naturally, everybody that sells them appears to be out of stock right now. -- jm ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.qsl.net/ke5fx Note: My E-mail address has been altered to avoid spam ------------------------------------------------------ |
