(ray) wrote: Pray tell us how you arrived at this statement whioh I remind you is a matter of public record. Are you saying 2=10*10/20? 'cause that sure the heck looks like what you said in the following: On the other hand, if an amplifier rated to deliver only 2 watts into 20 Ohms is used... that too will deliver 10 volts, also at a miniscule power level into a 70K Ohm load, and work just fine. Where's your 10 volts coming from? That is what you left out. You never say what "THAT" is. As in "that too" in the sentence above posted by you. The statement is correct. When you read what I posted and understand it, the statement then makes sense. But hey I haven't paid my, syntaz lately. You missed the error in your first post then you failed to correct it in your response. But yet you It isn't an error. It is correct. As it says, an amplifier rated to deliver only 2 watts into a 20 Ohm load can deliver 10 volts, at a miniscule power level, into a 70K Ohm load. agreed that it takes 5 watts into a 20 ohm load to provide 10 volts. How touching. Howe ver, the above does *not* say that it will deliver 10 volts with a 20 Ohm load. It says that it can deliver 10 volts with a 70K Ohm load. In fact any amp that can deliver 0.0014 watts or more can deliver 10 volts to a 70K Ohm load. If you want me to explain it again, using different words, I can. You probably will need an slight attitude adjustment to really learn it though... ;-) |
