Default The journey or the destination?

Alas whilst I'm in full agreement with Garet regarding standards and
decency there are those (and yes they are visible in this thread) who
claim technically superiority and yet show themselves up to be the
buffoons that they are by lowering the standards of behavior they
claim to maintain.

I'll have to take your word for that (No! Don't elaborate!) but it has
certainly
been true over the years that these NGs are plagued by childish forms
of self-expression from CBers-masquerading-as-radio-amateurs who
are completely ignorant of the twin gentlemanly and technical traditions
of amateur radio.

One has to hope that they are in decline and that no novices are put off
amateur radio by their anti-social commentaries.
