![]() "Uwe Langmesser" wrote in message ... I was very interested in all that talk about how much Tektronics sucks although after reading most of it I don't think it reflects my concerns. I just recently bought an old 465 and am learning to use it and I was wondering if with so many knowledgable folks somebody could recommend a good book which would teach the intricacies of using this level of equipment. Here's a thought for you. If you don't get QST then you should sign up and get it. Every month they have a tutorial on basic electronics using your basic meter, function generator, scope etc to make measurements. I would assume from your comments that you don't have much experience using test equipment so these tutorials are a good way for you to learn and have some fun doing it too. A second idea would be to check out your local technical college or university library. They just may have books that cover the use of a scope for general trouble shooting of stereos, TV's etc. That would be a good way to learn the many ways a scope can be used and it may not cost you a penny to check-out the books for home study. Good luck; -- Leland C. Scott KC8LDO ARRL Member NCI Member Charter member of the Lawrence Technological University Wireless Society W8LTU |
