need to id an inductor..its marked up 220..

i should know this but my minds gone blank...how does the coding go??
obviously first 2 digits are the value and last multiplyer so to speak..so
22 what..nh?uh? etc

thanks..

It is 22uh

Look it as if it was a resistor but instead of ohms you express it in microhenrys

Red red black is 22ohms so your inductor is 22uh

The multipliers are
Brown 10
Black 1
Gold 0.1
Silver 0.01

So if the colors was red red gold then it would be 2.2uh and so on

It took me weeks to realize that I was reading an 22uh inductor as 220uh
