ok..i know the width of track for 50r pcb stripline using standard 1/16in
fibreglass pcb is 2.8mm but howabout 1/8in pcb??? or does anyone have programe that works this out? (for dos/windows .) reason for asking making high power swr meter and i have a large sheet of 1/8 in pcb i need to use.... g0zen. simon |

The Zo is a function of the w/h ratio [not exact, but close enuf for anything you would be using G-10 or similar for]. Dr. G. |

If you scale all the dimensions of any TEM line, the impedance will
stay the same. Also, I have an Excel spreadsheet that lets you find impedances (a free download but I don't have the URL handy...), and there are several stripline/microstrip applets on the web...should be easy to find with a Google search. Perhaps the best answer is to use the transmission line calculator in RFSim99, which is free and does a whole lot more than just transmission lines.
