Default Nice QST article on DX100 rebuild

who amongst us didn't start with a DX-35? the article in the January QST
describing the rebirth of a basket-case DX-100 was a nice 5-minute read this
past evening.

I'd like to have seen the photo of tube sockets hanging by the wiring!
Or did he completely 're-kit' the rig and rebuild?
Either way a nice job. I thought Drake was the only company that
used copper plated chassis (or was the C line built on solid copper
chassis?)

There was an article in QST (or maybe CQ) within the past few years
by someone who had rebuilt a kit. He had stripped it down. Then he
cleaned off the chassis, and sent it out to be plated. And then he built
it up. I can't remember what he said about the parts he used, if he
used pretty much what was there, or replaced all but the unique parts.

Perhaps this latest article is by the same guy.
