Acquired about a dozen 8122 ceramic tetrodes (400 Watt dissipation, 500 Mhz
max) pulls from a broadband EMC amplifier. I have no use for them other than trades or ebay. Anyways, I'm thinking to test these things for emission I make a socket adaptor from the 8122 to something octal that my Hickock tube tester might deal with say a 6146 and test it as such. Won't know pass / fail but at least I can get an idea if they are all about the same results and weed out any duds. Anyone ever try such ? Bob kb8tl at arrl dot net |
