Default BPL WILL KILL HF HOMEBREWING IN TWO YEARS!!!

Hello, everyone.

Today, the FCC has decided to allow the manufacturers of BPL the ability to
regulate
thier emissions under Part 15 so that they do not interfere with other
services on the
HF bands (2 Mhz - 30 Mhz).

Given the way we have all percieved business to operate to benefit the
stockholders
rather than the public, it seems to me that the demons of the underworld
would sooner
be able to enjoy ice skating, than for BPL to be willing to police itself.

And, as you well know, FCC Chairman Powell is a thirty-something Bush
political
appointee and an ideologue of the first order. He has sold the soul of
Amateur Radio
down the river, all in the name of business above all other things. He is
an examplar
of all that is presently wrong with the Bush administration.

I would strongly recommend that we all vote a Democratic into the White
House, just
so that said person can replace Powell with someone who will let us live.

In the meantime, sell your gear boys and girls, because Ham on the HF bands
is about
to go QRT from massive interference.

The Eternal Squire
